Marie Taylor loves her two big goofy dogs named Reuben and Malcolm. With all the things to love about her dogs, it’s their adorable noses that Marie loves the most. Thus, three months before her birthday, she made a bizarre request on Facebook.
When she posted a photo of Reuben on Facebook, she made it known to her boyfriend, Jack, that all she wanted for her birthday was a cupcake with an icing replica of the dog’s nose as a topper.
“It’s in 3 months’ time. He has plenty of time to organise it. I’m making this public so it happens,” Marie wrote.

Shortly after Marie posted her request, she welcomed Malcolm, a rescued pooch, into the family. So, this means her boyfriend now has two cute noses to duplicate. Since Marie has her hands full with two furry companions to take care of, she forgot about her ridiculous birthday wish. But Jack did not forget and asked his friend Whitley Griffith of Sweet & Smooth in Oldham to make the special cupcakes.
When Marie’s birthday came, she was definitely taken by surprise when Jack gave her a box of cupcakes. And sitting atop each of them are the cute snouts of her beloved pooches. They were exact replicas made out of icing just like the way she wanted them.
Marie got Reuben and Malcolm to pose next to their respective snout cupcake and took a snapshot. The two dogs were pleased with their cupcakes and even tried to steal a bite.
Marie was more than pleased that her birthday wish came true. Everything started only as a silly birthday request but it ended up as a beautiful tribute to both of her pooches that she is deeply fond of.
