Hybrid dogs are created through intentionally cross-breeding purebred dogs. On the other hand, the hybrid also refers to the crossing of a wolf and a dog. Offspring from these parent breeds are called as wolf hybrid or wolfdog hybrid. The sole purpose of developing hybrid dogs is for them to inherit the positive attributes of their parents.
Hybrid litters often have a wide variety of appearances and personalities. Depending on the genes they inherit, they may take after either of their parent breeds. Most hybrid dogs are not yet recognised by the Kennel Club. However, there is always a possibility for them to be considered as pure breeds in the future. This can happen through careful planning and meticulous selective breeding.
