The Saint Berdoodle is an American mixed-breed dog. He is a cross between the gentle Saint Bernard and the intelligent Poodle. He is also called Saint Berpoo, Saint Berpoo, and Saint Berdoodle.

Saint Berdoodles are large dogs with a great love for human companionship. They are fond and tolerant of children and enjoy spending time with other pets. These designer dogs are highly trainable thanks to their Poodle bloodline.

The Saint Berdoodle dog breed can either be a low or moderate shedder. It depends on his coat type. He is an energetic dog that is not the best option as an apartment pet. The breed has a lifespan of 10–12 years.

History

The Saint Berdoodle dog breed also goes by the name Saint Berpoo, Saint Berpoo, and Saint Berdoodle. He is a Saint Bernard Poodle mix. As this hybrid dog's history remains unclear, knowing his parent breeds will help us understand how he came to be.

The St Bernard originally came from Switzerland. Monks created him in the 1600s. He is a highly skilled mountain and rescue dog. The Saint Berdoodle is not a purebred dog. Thus, he is not yet acknowledged by major kennel clubs, including the American Kennel Club and Kennel Club in the UK. But he is a qualified member of a few minor kennel clubs.

The Saint Berdoodle is a mixed-breed dog that was first created in the United States. The exact date when this designer dog was created is unknown. However, it is believed that the intentional breeding of this mixed breed started around the 1880s.

Appearance and Grooming

Saint Berdoodle puppies will inherit varying traits from their Saint Bernard and Poodle parents. However, most of them have large heads, brown or amber eyes, and big drooping ears like Saint Bernard.

When it comes to the Saint Berdoodle’s coat, it may be curly and coarse, same as the Poodle’s fur. Or he may possess a smooth and silky Saint Bernard double coat.
