Hi all! :-) Meet Prince. (Full name - Prince-Moschino). ***VERY LONG POST - IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO READ IT ALL THEN YOU AREN'T PRINCE'S PERFECT PEOPLE!*** So, I have been toing and froing with this decision for the last 3 months now. This is one of my boys. He is 10 months old, and turns one on the 6th May. He is a french bulldog X Boxer. He is black undercoat with brindle markings on top. Beautiful patterns, and beautiful deep brown eyes with black nails. Honestly, he is incredibly stunning! There's not many mixes of this breed. (Think of frenchie ears, but a long deep boxer body :-)))) He is a solid muscular dog who is heavy. He's approximately 40cm tall, (average knee cap height). So... I have a blue french bulldog whom i rescued from abroad 2 years ago, and is now my son's emotional support dog. He didn't have the best start in life, but he has a 5* FURever home now. Last year, I thought my frenchie would benefit from a friend...so we brought Prince home at 8 weeks old. It took a while for my frenchie to accept Prince and the bundle of energy that he was, but I persevered and within 3 weeks they were best friends!! Fast forward to almost 1 year later, and it's brought me to my decision of sadly having to rehome Prince. The 2 boys have started fighting... for what I presume to be "top dog" and dominance related... they are both still young so their hormones will also be raging. It started out a little scuffle here and there. But now over the last 2 to 3 weeks it has been bad. Prince is double the size of my frenchie, and when they get going, prince really holds him down and hurts him. They seem jealous of each other and always protecting and guarding me, which my other dog will naturally do as he is our emotional support/service. It's becoming unbearable to live in the house. I have tried numerous things; This is our decision, and as a family, we have come to this. Prince is an AMAZING dog... I have never known a dog to love people and other dogs as much as he does!! He loves to meet his doggy friends, and happily runs through fields playing with stranger's dogs. He is clicker trained, and loves to be off lead. He knows my whistle to come back. He will run for literal hours out in the countryside with you. We are very outdoorsy people and always on walks and adventures. Prince loves nothing more. He is still a puppy and although he has done most of his growing, he will grow a tiny bit more. He is very intelligent. He really cares for his family, for example, if you start coughing lol, he will run over to you and nudge you with his mouth and check if you're ok. Also, if you trip up and fall over, again, he will nudge at your head to lift you up, and gently locks on to your little pinky finger to "pull you up". He is very much a lap dog, he also likes to snuggle at the backs of your legs. He adores blankets, and will nudge you until you let him get under it and sleep near your feet. He loves his sleep. He also likes to lay beside you and roll over for a good belly rub/scratch. Although he can have a wander in the middle of the night. (I DO NOT CRATE MY DOGS). He is house trained, however, again in the middle of the night he may sometimes wee. He will take himself to the bathroom and do it in there. Although it's not ideal, we do wonder if he is trying to be like us with us going in the bathroom haha. Throughout the day though, he will look at you, stare intact
