About Hades: He is a 1-year-old Rottweiler (D.O.B April 4th, 2021). He is a lovely dog who is good with people but struggles with separation anxiety. Behaviour with other dogs: He found it difficult to socialise with other dogs and can be aggressive around them. To avoid this, we advise keeping him on a short lead, and since he’s a large dog, a muzzle is also necessary. We also have another dog, a 3-year-old German shepherd, which he is comfortable with and makes a great companion but became a little overly attached to as time went on. Training and words of command: Hades is house trained, and he is brilliant on walks and on the lead. He responds to sit, down, stay, come, etc. He will let you know he wants the toilet or to go out by approaching you and offering his paw or making a moaning noise. Due to his separation anxiety, he lashes out by chewing on skirting boards, rip up rugs or carpets, etc. Unfortunately, almost anything he can get his teeth on. Behaviour with people: Unlike his behaviour with other dogs, He is very good with others and especially with children, although he likes his own space at times and can get grumpy if too agitated, like most pets. There have been no incidents where he’s ever been aggressive to others. Reason for new home: We bought Hades as a pup at 8 weeks old. He is very strong and healthy and currently has no medical concerns. Initially, Hades became a member of the family when my partner had a job working from home. Things have changed now and a constant presence at the house is no longer an option. Now we must regretfully find him a new home. My partner and are both fully employed and cannot give him the attention he requires moving forward. During our absence, is the only time his frustration comes out to a rebellious extent. Hades requires calming medicine, and a family where someone is around almost constantly to attend to his needs and reassure him.
