Looking for a new home for our Snoop, a 7 month old male Cocker Spaniel.
Personality in abundance with this one! Especially when you're trying to give a cuddle to someone, he'll want his head right in-between the pair of you!
Won't touch his dinner until he 100% sure you've finished yours just incase he can get something better!
Hates the hoover! And will try to be picked up if he can.
On the lead he does pull a little when leaving the house, on the field he is perfect, doesn't run more than 10ft infront of you.
Toilet training is still being worked on, mainly with wee's, but with puppy pads he'll regularly use them.
We have 2 cats who is good around them, just one of our cats doesn't like his bouncing behaviour sometimes. I personally wouldn't have him around small kids due to his bounciness although we haven't seen him with any.
Dogs on walks he is very sceptical of and will try and hide between your legs especially larges ones, but that is down to lack of socialising. And can be a little sceptical of new faces, but never aggressive to anyone.
He comes with a large crate too, which he is currently being trained to use with.
We are only looking to rehome him due to my partners ill health.
Safety Notice: NEVER send a payment or deposit online before viewing the Pet to confirm the advert is genuine. Read our Covid-19 safe buying guide.
Be extra cautious with online transactions!
We encourage you to read these guidelines before buying or adopting a dog.
Carry out the research so you have the necessary knowledge of the pet you are getting. Since owning a dog is a big commitment, you should research about the breed fully to make sure it fits your current lifestyle and budget.
Take time to visit the advertiser's home to confirm if they are genuine. Do not settle for online communications and photos. UK Pets does not verify the authenticity of all advertisers. The advertiser should allow you to personally see the puppies with the puppies' mother. If they keep on giving you excuses why you could not visit their home or the address stated in the advert is not the accurate and permanent location of the pet, consider this a red flag.
Never pay anything online through money transfer companies especially if you have not personally visited the advertiser and seen the puppy, this includes deposit and delivery cost for the puppy. There is also no means to recover your money if issues arise. Before closing a deal, you must have signed a well-defined contract.
The advertiser should only release the puppies when they are 8 weeks old or older. They should be responsible enough to know that separating the puppy from the mother earlier results in medical and behavioural issues.

As early as a thirteen-week-old puppy, a cocker spaniel can be introduced to necessary training. In fact, Northumbria Police have begun training four cocker pups (Henry, Herbert, Hartley, and Hunter) to become the future Northumbria Police specialist search dogs.
