We have been helping a UK Greyhound racing kennels who have a number of dogs which can no longer race for different reasons ranging from minor injuries which in pacts on their running speed to simply not wanting to race them anymore, or the dogs never showed the want or interest to race from day one. Though they are no longer wanted / needed, there is no exit plan for them once retired from racing or anything in place to help them find a home so they have to remain kennelled 24/7, the racing kennels contacted us in January 2020 and we agreed to start helping them find homes and get these gorgeous dogs the loving permanent family they so deserve. Archie is our 5th Greyhound to be signed over to us and arrived into our care on the 25th March 2020. His owner decided he no longer wanted to race him after racing for 3 years. He is a gentle sweet soul, happily now living with two dogs and is settling in well to foster life and learning to live in a home for the first time. He is fit and healthy but is recovering from his neutering op. His foster home also has a cat which he has showed no interest in at all (please see videos), the cat though is used to foster dogs coming in and is very confident around them. This gorgeous boy needs a loving permanent home, one that will continue to teach him how to be a pet dog. If you are in position to adopt and feel that Archie is the one, PLEASE APPLY VIA OUR WEBSITE; All information on adopting one of our dogs can be found on our website, please read through all information on adopting from us, and the dog’s profile. If happy to proceed, please kindly complete an adoption enquiry form, also found in each dog’s profile. We will be introducing new rehoming measures to ensure health and safety for all involved. Thanks x www.chimneyfarmrescue.com Archie's foster family have answered the following questions for us; Dogs name: Archie. He’s a 4 1/2 yr old neutered male. He is an ex racing greyhound fully vaccinated and de-wormed & flea'd Where does the Archie sleep at night? Downstairs with my spaniels on his lovely memory foam bed next to the dog gate. How is the Archie with current dogs/animals? He’s great with my male and female spaniel. My female isn’t keen on other dogs but seems to quite like Archie. Probably because he’s a gentle boy. Cats? He lives with my male tabby who’s very dog aware. Max will not stand for nonsense and has told Archie off within the first few days. Archie now respects Max and pays him no attention. With all greyhounds he will chase but can be taught to respect cats, with patience. Is he clean indoors? Yes from day 1 and asks to go out. Can the Archie be left alone? Yes and it’s important to continue with this. He whines initially but settles down. How is Archie out on walks? He’s only had a few as he was castrated recently and still healing. He’s great on a lead both long and short like most Greyhounds. He’s fine around traffic too. Have they met with other dogs? Yes only a few as we’re exercising the 2 metre rule. He’s very well mannered and polite. Gets on fine with my 2 and I have a male who can be a bit ‘funny’ around some males. Archie is quite neutral. Not dominant or submissive to other dogs. How are they with humans? He’s wary but not scared. He likes you to approach him and treat him gently. He was fine with the neighbours children who are dog experienced and calm. Have you noticed the dog is afraid of any particular things? He is supposed to be more wary around men. We haven’t found this but again we haven’t met too many men yet. Archie is the most gentle sensitive boy. He likes to chat !! He whines when he wants something or if he’s pleased to see you. He has a very waggy tail and uses it a lot. He’s fun loving and playful. Now out of his miserable kennels he has discovered balls and will play for ages with one. He raced competitively for over 3 yrs. In the past 2 years of racing he was the fastest greyhound in his kennels (out of 90 hounds). He’s relaxing nicely into his well deserved retirement.

Eva came into our care on New Years Eve, hence her name! She is a stunning, chunky beautiful bully crossbreed - we definitely think she has English Bull Terrier in her mix - around 3-4 yrs old. She is a real character and is quite vocal and likes to 'talk' to you! In a morning when we arrive at the kennels, she will greet us with a toy in her mouth and a VERY wiggly body! She is immaculate in her kennel - very clean (so will be housetrained), does not chew and is quiet when left alone. She will need an experienced bull breed owner used to strong breeds like our girl as she is strong on the lead at times and isn't good around other dogs - they seem to really stress her out and she would much prefer a life where she didn't have to be around other dogs. She absolutely LOVES following scents and is amazing to watch when she has her nose to the ground following smells. She does have a very high prey drive, so we don't think she'd be a girl who could be off the lead - she needs nice long on lead walks in quiet areas and then playtime in the garden. Eva will be a brilliant dog in the right home - she's an absolute stunner. ** PLEASE FILL IN A PRE ADOPTION FORM ON OUR WEBSITE AT THE LINK BELOW IF YOU CAN OFFER EVA A HOME ** https://helpingyorkshirepoundies.co.uk/pre-adoption-questionairre/

We live on a farm in South Wales with a beautiful 10 year old lurcher who spends most of the day on the sofa as I’m sure everyone here would recognise. We’re on the look out for a lurcher female pup with a broken coat preferably light coloured and with a lot of collie in her. I know these dogs attract an interesting mix of attention from previously selling my litter of puppies so only serious enquires please. Warm regards Aidan

I've been given these bearded dragons just last week. They don't look healthy and I dont know how I am supposed to take care of them. They came from an elderly lady, she didn't have time for them. I think they need heat lamps and bugs. Not too sure, which is why I'm rehoming them. Price just to ensure they're homed properly and not for any other purposes.

Our cat Lola had kittens last month but unfortunately we cannot keep all of them. Two out of three kittens are available for adoption. Bitsy and Tubbs (Tubby), both girls. They are only 7 weeks old at the moment and not ready for their new homes, however they will be ready when they are around 11-12 weeks old.

Satsuma is a 1 year old extremely loving cat, she is very chatty and loves to run up to you. She is amazing with small dogs and loves to cuddle them. I wouldn't say she is suitable to be with another cat as we have had her a long time now and is just not being treated fairly by our other cat. He is bullying her to the point where she is not comfortable when he is around and we feel it's unfair to be selfish and keep her because we love her when she is being bullied so bad by our other cat. She would best suit anyone with the time to spend with her and no other cats, she is fully vaccinated, spayed and chipped and will come with documents, belongings and a blanket with our scent to help her settle. We are devastated it has come to this as we have tried so hard to make her feel at home and she is just not happy because of our other cat. I hope for her to go to a home where she will be cherished as she is a huge credit to any family. Preferable no children, as she doesn't really like a lot of hustle and bustle but is happy to do nothing but cuddle and have your company. Thank you for reading.
