These delightful babies were hatched in July and August this year from eggs laid in the garden by my registered adult pet. They are healthy, very active, and full of individual personality and character. They are eating and growing very well and are easily fed on readily available wild and cultivated greenery and tortoise pellets. These little ones will make lovely responsive pets as they continue to grow on a tortoise table or in a vivarium in your home. At this age their sex can not be determined. The eggs were expected to produce a mixed sex brood. They have CITES Article 10 Certificates and are available only to experienced and/or committed, caring buyers who are willing to come and collect them in person. I am always happy to give ongoing advice and share my knowledge with their new owners.

We are putting up for sale our 1 year old tortoise, he/she is very healthy and has been fed on hand picked weeds and flowers over the past twelve months, calcium supplements and has a top of the range vitamin D bulb in its enclosure. Tortoise will come with tortoise table, lamp stand, Vit D and heat bulb, slate for eating area, water dish and assorted plant accessories. Please note the maintenance of the tortoises diet and enclosure is really important and has to be maintained regularly, we would preferably like to sell to someone who has owned a tortoise/reptile previously or someone who has researched deeply into what it takes to look after a tortoise. We will only sell to the right family who can provide it with a safe, caring home with a back garden for the future to allow him/her to roam and live in as natural an environment as possible.

I have spent over 45 years looking after and breeding both Hermanns and Spur Thighed tortoises . I believe in bringing them up the natural way; getting them into the garden from the day they hatch to hibernating them from year 1. So ,the work of the first 9 months has been done and these lovely little creatures are ready for their next adventure! I now have some Juvenile Hermanns and Spur Thighed Tortoises available ; they are 9 months old and will go into the garden all day every day from around end of March depending on the weather. They will winter indoors with new owners for 2 years and then will go outside forever and hibernate outside in their houses. I offer ongoing help and support and will give you all the information you need for the indoor unit which is an open unit (No Vivarium's) .They have to get used to our weather and the temperature changing day to night and the indoor unit gets them ready. I will also advise you on the garden run needed .They eat real food (no pellets),a list will be given . You will receive 5 page care sheets, pictures of the parents, Article 10 certification and are free to visit anytime with baby for a check up. I will be here for the important milestone of the first hibernation so you won't have to do it alone as this can be stressful the first time. Please ring me for more details. Thankyou

Unfortunately due to starting a new job and not having the time anymore, I've sadly decided to re-home my tortoise to a family that can give him the time and attention he needs. He's a very loved pet and is very upsetting to see him go. His setup is as shown as well as an extra heat bulb but will need to be changed to a larger home, original birth documents will be provided.
