Update: biscuit has now gone to her forever home with a loving elderly couple with a nice relaxed calm environment much suited for her needs, Oreo is due to go to his forever home in 2 weeks with a wonderful lady and her 11 year old daughter who will give him all the love he begs for as well as much needed play I couldn't ask for a better suited match for him and due to gingers slow progression she will now stay with us for the foreseeable future as she was the most traumatised of the 3. The advertiser should allow you to personally see the kittens with their mother. If they keep on giving you excuses why you could not visit their home or the address stated in the advert is not the accurate and permanent location of the kitten, consider this a red flag.

Avoid online payment

Never pay anything online through money transfer companies especially if you have not personally visited the advertiser and seen the kitten, this includes deposit and delivery cost for the kitten. There is also no means to recover your money if issues arise. Before closing a deal, you must have signed a well-defined contract.

Documents & Vaccinations

Ask for all the necessary documents such as GCCF, TICA or FIFe certificate and veterinary card. The kitten should have up-to-date vaccinations, as well as deworming and flea treatments. Genuine advertisers would also agree to refunds if health checks on the kitten confirm poor results.
