I need to re-home my beautiful red footed tortoise named Strawberry as I am in hospital a lot. She is 3 years old, I got her in August 2020. She loves her sweet treats but only once a week, I feed her fruit. Strawberry mostly eats greens and turnips. She can eat raw meat but not too much just once a week. She likes been clapped once she is settled.
I am looking for loving home who can take care of her and get her the attention she needs!
She will come with her 6ft variorum (L: 6ft, H: 2ft, D: 2ft) UV lamp, basking lamp and 2 night laps bulbs included. All the accessories including false plant, rocks, 2 tunnels/stairs, cave, her branch, vitamin tub, calcium tub, her green gate (loves her walks), 2 dial thermometers stuck on back of the vivarium, water and food bowls. The green gate is H: 23cm, L: 9F, it can be folded away.
Strawberry is low maintenance, needing just a small warm bath just once per week which Strawberry loves, a fresh bowl of water every day and a small handful of salad with a pinch of calcium and vitamin the other days. She likes other animals.

Be extra cautious with online transactions!
We encourage you to read these guidelines before buying or adopting any reptile.
Carry out the research so you have all the necessary knowledge of the pet you are getting. Since owning a pet is a big commitment, you should research about the breed fully to make sure it fits your current lifestyle and budget.
Take time to visit the advertiser's home to confirm if they are genuine. Do not settle for online communications and photos. UK Pets does not verify the authenticity of all advertisers. The advertiser should allow you to personally see the pets. If they keep on giving you excuses why you could not visit their home or the address stated in the advert is not the accurate and permanent location of the pet, consider this a red flag.
Never pay anything online through money transfer companies especially if you have not personally visited the advertiser and seen the pet, this includes deposit and delivery cost for the pet. There is also no means to recover your money if issues arise. Before closing a deal.
The advertiser should only release the reptile when they are 8 weeks old or older. They should be responsible enough to know that separating the pet from the mother earlier results in medical and behavioural issues.
If you have reasons to believe that an Advertiser is not genuine, please report them to us immediately.
